Bb* CONVERSATION SERIES
Hello! Welcome to the Bb* conversation series – seven questions with each of our team members, giving you a greater insight in to the florists behind your flowers!
First up is one of our newest trainees, Fithawit. A recent arrival to Melbourne and originally from Eritrea, Fithawit is bilingual (Arabic and English), has brought a lot of enthusiasm to Bb* and we are thrilled to have her as part of our team.
What would you say is making you feel positive these days?
Having the opportunity to live in Australia. Having the chance to improve and change my life. My siblings don’t have that in my country; I am happy that I will be able to help them in the future. There is no way to go to school and improve your life if you are poor in my home.
What is the first thing you thought about this morning?
Thought about taking a shower.
Who is the living woman you admire the most?
My Mother, she is a very strong person and really strong as a mum as well. She is divorced, raised us by herself. She was always working and coming home and doing everything. She sent all of us to school even though it’s expensive, and she works 24/7.
If you were stranded on a desert island what three things would you bring?
What’s the first thing on your to-do list?
Getting a car, and then finding a second job, I need more work.
If you could give any piece of advice, what would it be?
Being happy with what you have.
If you had three wishes, what would they be?
– To bring my family to Australia
– My sister has a disability, she is blind in one eye, I would like to pay for operation
– I would love to travel, firstly, Sweden, then India
