Lunch Lady Podcast
Jane chats with Louise from Lunch Lady magazine
Founder of Bb*, Jane Marx chats with Louise Bannister from the beloved Lunch Lady Magazine and podcast.
“Jane spent years establishing a thriving hospitality-based social enterprise that employed young refugee women. Then the pandemic struck. With a newborn under her arm, she pivoted the business and created The Beautiful Bunch. Jane’s story from hopelessness to success (all while nursing a newborn) is an incredibly inspiring reminder for us all to keep going, even when everyone tells you not to.”
Bb* expands into events
Jane and The Beautiful Bunch team were invited to pitch at The Funding Network Australia’s live crowdfunding event, where they walked away with $37,000 to keep the enterprise going and expand into event floristry.
“On the night we didn’t have a figure in mind and I hadn’t been able to do any kind of pre-fundraising because we have been so flat out. We were just hopeful that we’d go and get $20,000… and then to raise nearly double that was phenomenal,” she says.
Flower Power: Bb* features on Channel Nine News
Jo Hall and Channel Nine visited our North Fitzroy studio to learn about The Beautiful Bunch mission, our training program, and how we use flowers to empower young women from refugee backgrounds to bloom.

“The Melbourne florist and social enterprise is hosting a Galentine’s Day workshop where you can create your own beautiful floral arrangement to take home. Plus, free-flowing rosé throughout the class.”
