Meet Nasrin

Meet Nasrin
Hello! Welcome to the Bb* conversation series – seven questions with each of our team members, giving you a greater insight in to the florists behind your flowers!
Nasrin is one our trainee florists at The Beautiful Bunch. She brings lots of positive energy to Bb*, is very encouraging of all of our team members, and fills the place with laughter. Nasrin is also proving to be a talented florist and it has been incredible to watch her grow. She would like to open her own business someday, and we hope to support her dream to do this in the not-too-distant future!
Hello Nas! What would you say is making you feel positive these days?

My friends and family, especially my mum. She always makes me feel so appreciated. She always has my back.

What is the first thing you thought about this morning?

Making it to work on time!

Who is the living woman you admire the most?

My mother, she is honestly the strongest woman I know. She escaped a war-torn country with 7 kids and her sister and raised us all on her own. She is such a hard working woman.

If you were stranded on a desert island, what three things would you bring?

  1. Pocket-knife
  2. Flint
  3. Radio

What’s the first thing on your to-do list?

Start my own business sometime this year doing hair and makeup. My own beauty business working with afrocentric hair.

If you could give any piece of advice, what would it be?

Don’t hold on to hate. Don’t let something that happened to you three years ago affect you in your present day. Because you’ll carry too much bad energy with you.

If you had three wishes, what would they be?

  1. For everyone and everything to be equal and fair
  2. Peace for my country, South Sudan. I want us to move forward as a Nation and do something good for ourselves. We are really talented and strong people, but the trauma is holding us back.
  3. That I live a long healthy and happy life
